I was lucky enough to spend 5 years working with legendary writer, Peter David, on the DC Comic’s series, Young Justice as well as another 2 years on the Marvel Comics series, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Peter and his family have been great friends to my wife, Dawn and I.
We were shocked and saddened to hear Peter had suffered from a stroke in December of last year. He is quickly on the mend and getting back to health. But in the meantime, hospital and physical therapy bills are mounting. While insurance covers some of it, many of us that have had the pleasure of working with Peter have donated original art to auction off to help defray as many of those costs for the David family. The auction has been spearheaded by Fallen Angel artist, JK Woodward. You can find all the art available for auction as well as other cool ways you can help via JK’s blog: HERE.

who do you think is stronger/better Superboy on your young justice or the one from the television series?
Hmmm. Very interesting question. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer at this time. Mainly because I don’t have cable and haven’t watched the Young Justice cartoon (aside from Season 1’s Halloween episode featuring Secret and Harm. Which I really enjoyed!).
I understand the cartoon can be seen online, but I just haven’t had the time to catch up that way. My best bet is for the series to go to Netflix someday. I hear Season 2’s “Young Justice: Invasion” is great! And it features more of the characters I worked with in the original YJ comic series like Impulse and Wonder Girl.
So with what I know of the Superboy I worked with and the little I’ve seen of the Superboy from the cartoon, I can’t say which is stronger. But I bet I like the original DCU comic Superboy better. Just because of the years I spent drawing the character. I have a personal investment. He’s like one of my kids.
